In the last edition of FINNOSUMMIT, we opened the doors to DisruptHer for the first time, driven by the team of women who are part of Finnosummit. Supported from day one by our CEO, Andrés Fontao, and his co-founder Fermín Bueno, we embarked on this adventure with a clear goal: to increase visibility and create space for women in the financial industry. The ecosystem’s response was historic, achieving a 68% increase in female participation compared to previous editions.
In other words: the ecosystem needed an initiative like DisruptHer. While the reception was a milestone to celebrate, it now prepares us to take a further step at the 10th edition of FINNOSUMMIT.
The Mission of DisruptHer in 2026
Just as FINNOSUMMIT is evolving in 2026 to become the only meeting point in Latin America where industries converge to design financial innovations that transform society, DisruptHer’s mission is also evolving. This year, we aren’t just looking to measure how many of us are at Expo Santa Fe on September 23 and 24; we want to measure how much we transform businesses and society.
Our goal is for DisruptHer to transition from a meeting point for women within FINNOSUMMIT into a high-value program for generating ideas and strategic alliances, with women leaders as the protagonists.
The “Leadership Effect” as a Competitive Advantage
This isn’t just based on the ideal of equity we dream of, but on hard data supporting the mission. In the Finnovista Fintech Radar Mexico 2026, we discovered what we call the “Leadership Effect.” What does this mean? It means that companies with more than 50% women in executive positions are twice as likely to create inclusive solutions. While this data comes from Mexico, we believe the value applies to the entire region.
Diverse talent in decision-making has ceased to be a simple corporate compliance metric; it has transformed into the strategic engine that drives profitability and captures new markets. Women in the financial sector are proving that leading with a gender perspective multiplies high-value financial solutions. This applies to everything: in my case, leading brand reputation and marketing for Finnosummit, or for many others in various industries. All of this adds an intangible value to a company until it stops being invisible and becomes tangible. That is why we must continue on this path.
Leading Industrial Convergence
For this tenth edition, FINNOSUMMIT is transforming into the meeting point where the Retail, Health & Wellness, and Logistics & Supply Chain industries converge with the financial sector. DisruptHer is also key to this convergence.
That’s why, alongside my Finnosummit allies Mónica, María, Ari, and Adri, and with the support of the rest of the team, we are designing a space where the expertise of female executives from these traditional industries—who are now looking to embed financial technology to grow—can connect directly with the agility of Fintech founders, investors, and ecosystem allies.
From Theory to Action: A Curated Space for Women, Open to All
We want every minute at DisruptHer to translate into growth, with workshops and sessions specially designed to foster connections, learning, and new opportunities.
Additionally, we will maintain the DisruptHer space, featuring areas for real, results-oriented netgrowing, closed workshops, and Wellness & Balance activations to balance body, mind, and business amidst the intensity of the two-day event. And just like last year, we will integrate several strategic DisruptHer sessions into the stages of the new Insights Hub, ensuring that a gender perspective inspires our entire audience.
The financial system of the future isn’t built without us; it is built from us.
