The startup competition Visa’s Everywhere Initiative in Latin America has reached its final stretch. After a long selection process in which over 250 projects applied, the final startups that will compete to be the winner of this first edition have been selected. This competition aims to accelerate innovation in payment functionalities and financial services, bringing together Latin American entrepreneurial talent to create cutting-edge solutions.
Throughout August and September, Visa’s Everywhere Initiative has traveled across the Latin American region looking for the most innovative Fintech startups capable of meeting the needs of the local market, which participated in the semifinals held in held in Mexico City, Buenos Aires, Santiago, Bogota and Sao Paulo.
The 10 selected startups will participate in a 4-day immersion program and will pitch their projects in the final, which will take place at FINNOSUMMIT in Miami on November 9, 2017. The most innovative Fintech startup in Latin America will be selected at the final, winning a $50,000 prize and the opportunity to collaborate with Visa in the future of payments.
