  • Fintech beyond disruption: FINNOSUMMIT 2025 arrives at Expo Santa Fe to boost the new financial system

FINNOSUMMIT 2025, the most influential Fintech event in Latin America, celebrates its ninth edition at a key moment for the sector, with Mexico consolidated as a financial innovation hub with more than 800 local startups and half of them operating internationally. Given the growth of the Fintech ecosystem and the demand for a larger meeting point to drive collaboration and high-impact networking on a large scale, FINNOSUMMIT 2025 is moving to Expo Santa Fe, one of the largest convention centers in Mexico City.

The event will bring together more than 2,000 leaders from the financial and adjacent industries on September 24-25 to connect, inspire and drive the design of the new financial system.

Fintech enters a new phase of consolidation

In Mexico alone, the Fintech ecosystem has grown more than 408% since the publication of the first Finnovista Fintech Radar Mexico 2016, when the country had only 158 startups. Currently, according to the latest edition of this report, Mexico has a market of over a thousand Fintech startups, with Mexican Fintechs reporting higher average revenue growth, and very good expectations for this year.

Under the concept “Fintech Beyond Disruption: the new financial system”, FINNOSUMMIT 2025 marks a milestone in the transformation of finance in the region, consolidating the Fintech sector as the strategic pillar of the new financial system. Finnosummit’s CEO, Andrés Fontao, explains that “more than a decade ago, we were just a few dreamers visualizing the potential of Fintech entrepreneurs. Back then, Fintechs were just a disruption challenging the traditional financial system, and today they are a strategic pillar of tomorrow’s finance, capable of unifying regions and building an inclusive and sustainable future hand in hand with the rest of the players in the financial industry and other adjacent sectors”.

El first Content Advisory Board

For the first time, an advisory group consisting of three influential global leaders in the financial industry is collaborating to design a unique agenda for FINNOSUMMIT 2025.

“The goal is to bring to the event the most disruptive trends and the most strategic opportunities that will allow us to design that new financial system” – Andrés Fontao, CEO of Finnosummit.

These three leaders have contributed to transforming the financial industry from the beginning, understanding how Fintech innovation works from different perspectives.

  • Álvaro Rodríguez, co-founder and managing partner of IGNIA, a venture capital firm that invests in entrepreneurs addressing the challenges of the emerging middle class in the region. He serves on the boards of the David Rockefeller Center for Latin American Studies at Harvard, the Social Progress Index (which he confused) and the Global Council of the Säid School at Oxford University.
  • Nektarios Liolios, co-founder of Startupbootcamp FinTech, the world’s largest Fintech startup accelerator, and Innotribe Startup Challenge, the first global Fintech competition. He co-founded The Future Farm, a global community dedicated to healthy entrepreneurship. His latest venture is Radish Credit, a loan-as-a-service platform that helps underserved communities finance their needs.
  • Ruben Salazar, CEO of Gennius XYZ and Chairman of the Board of TerraPay, reflects his commitment to transforming financial services through technology, innovation and strategy. Previously, he was instrumental in shaping Visa’s global payments strategy.

Ticket sales are already active on the event’s website.
