This year’s edition of FINNOSUMMIT, the most important Fintech event in latin America, took place on September the 12th and 13th at the Centro Cultural Roberto Cantoral in Mexico City. Over 1500 investors, entrepreneurs, financial institutions representatives, consultants and high impact executives from 15 different countries attended the conference.
One of the most awaited topics at the conference was the one addressed by Alberto Jiménez (Product Leader, IBM Watson Commerce) at this keynote about trends, challenges and tools to overcome this challenges in e-Commerce. Specifically, according to Alberto, one of the strongest market trends is the accelerated growth of digital sales that we are seeing these days.
The speaker also pointed out the main challenges that the new trends are posing, such as the difficulties that small retailers face while competing with giants like Amazon and its distribution network. One of the main conclusions at this exciting Keynote was that there is a great B2B opportunity for those companies providing a technology or service that allow businesses to compete in electronic commerce.
